"There is no big deal in boiling an egg". I am sure you are thinking the same. But believe me, many people go wrong with the process. They either over-cook the eggs or keep then slightly uncooked. It often results in cracked shell, green color around the yolk or sulfuric taste.
Here is the easiest method to cook eggs that are easy to peel.
Here is the easiest method to cook eggs that are easy to peel.
- Put the eggs in a saucepan in a single layer. Pour cold water to cover them by an inch or two. Cold water prevent eggs from over-cooking.
- Now boil the eggs on medium heat. Add 1/2 tsp of salt to the water which will prevent crackling and make easier to peel the egg cover.
- Now cover the pot with a lid. When the water boils, turns off the heat. Do not remove the lid while keeping the pan on the stove.
- Turn on the timer and leave the eggs in the hot water for 10-12 minutes.
- Now drain the hot water in the pan and fill it with cold water. Do it until all the eggs get cooled. Or you can place them under cold water. This will help stop the cooking process.
- Now take one egg and roll it on a flat surface to crack the shell slightly just before peeling.
- Now start peeling the egg.
- Eat the eggs within 5 days.
Several days old eggs are always easy to peel. Fresh eggs are always difficult to peel. If you have already boiled the eggs but found difficult to peel, then store them in the refrigerator for few days. Peeling will become very easy with the process.
Steaming fresh eggs makes them easy to peel. Steam fresh eggs for 20 minutes and you will find them easy to peel.
